1. You may challenge up to three positions above you on the ladder. When you join the ladder you may challenge any player at any position on the ladder for your first challenge.
2. All games should be played within 21 days of a challenge being made (unless there are extenuating circumstances) otherwise the challenger wins.
3. You should play your game at a mutually convenient time and place. When making a challenge, please exchange mobile numbers so that you can make contact at short notice in case of need.
4. If either player is more than 20 minutes late in attending an agreed match without prior contact, then, the ‘late’ or non-attending player loses the match.
5. If you make a successful challenge then you take the place of the person you beat on the ladder and the losing player drops one place. Any players between the challenger and challengee will shuffle down one place on the ladder.
6. The games will be the best of 3 sets
7. Please check with your opponent any 'local rules' prior to playing, e.g. club rules regarding attire.
8. If no result has been recorded by two thirds of the way through the challenge period a reminder is emailed to both parties.
9. If no result has been recorded by the end of the challenge period a warning is sent to record the result within a few days 'grace period'.
10. If the challenger wishes to cancel the challenge they may do so within the challenge and grace period with no consequences.
11. If the challenged person (challengee) wishes to forfeit the challenge they can record this within the challenge and grace period and the game is won by the challenger by forfeit.
